Was a little hesitant at first buying recert drives, but the price is very compelling. I bought 4 - no errors on any according to SMART (if you're on linux, keep in mind that Seagate uses 48-bit hex codes for their numbers, so the initial RAW report can be scary. Use `smartctl -a -v 1,raw48:54 -v 7,raw48:54 $drive` to have the conversion done for you). Running under heavy load, these drives tend to clack and thunk as they are datacenter drives, but the idle or small load noise is very low.
